Oxford — After a one-year hiatus, Miami and Cincinnati will rekindle their basketball rivalry this upcoming season.

The RedHawks and Bearcats did not meet in men's basketball last season, but they've agreed to a two-for-one deal over the next three years, according to a report by the Oxford Press. Two games would be played at Cincinnati's Fifth Third Arena and one match-up would be in Millett Hall.

"We don't ordinarily like to do that, but they haven't been up here in a while," Miami coach Charlie Coles told the Oxford Press. "Any time we can get an area team to play here, it's a good thing."

The RedHawks trail in the all-time series 91-53. The two schools last met on Dec. 29, 2007 in a 56-50 Bearcats win.

The Oxford Press report says that the deal has not be signed yet, but that the two teams will meet in Fifth Third Arena this year and in 2011. In 2010, they'd play in Oxford.
