NIU split its doubleheader with Wisconsin.
Mac Daily Staff Reports
Madison, Wisc. — Northern Illinois has become quite familiar playing on the road. That extra knowledge might have helped the Huskies wrap up their current six-game road trip with a split at Wisconsin.

The Huskies nearly swept the Badgers.
The Huskies (19-25) took the first game of a doubleheader thanks to some late inning heroics. The two sides found themselves tied at four and going to extra innings, when Michelle Williams hit the game-winning double, bringing in Zoe Sinner for the 5-4 victory.
Northern Illinois started the contest going ahead 4-0 before Wisconsin (12-26) clawed back.
The Huskies went late into the second game with a 3-1 lead and looking to sweep. However, a three-run sixth inning for the Badgers gave UW a 4-3 win and a series split.
Northern Illinois has played 10 of its past 11 games on the road and has gone 7-4 in that time.
