Advertising Information

Why should I advertise with The Mac Daily?

Because we've got two things that all advertisers are looking for in this economy. First, we've got affordable rates. Second, we've got a very targeted group of sports fans.

What about your demographic data?

Our readership tends to come from the Midwest. Here is some helpful information.

QuantcastData

Geographic Breakdown (Note: Information taken from Google Analytics data for date range between June 2 and July 2.)

Top 5 States

    1) Ohio (26.89%)
    2) Michigan (16.77%)
    3) Illinois (14.38%)
    4) Indiana (7.09 %)
    5) New York (6.53%)

Those are nice percentages, but what is your actual readership?

As a web site that is still new, our readership is small but growing. Currently, we are averaging 302 hits per day. The most hits that we've had in a day is 565.

One perk for our advertisers is that although our readership is growing larger each week, since we are still in the start up phase, this will let us keep our advertising costs low.

Ok, I'm still interested. So, what our your costs?

These prices will be good from July 1 through September 30, 2009.

Home Page Ads or Football Page Ads: $2 per day
Sports Page Ads (excluding football) and School Page Ads: $1 per day
Ads within stories: $1 per story

There are no extra costs for the amount of colors that you choose to use.

Also, please contact us about rates for podcast advertisements.

Those are good prices, so what are my size options?

For all non story ads, we are accepting banner size ads only, but we promise that down the road, you'll have more options for sizing.

For ads contained within stories, you may use either square or banner size ads.

Are there any other restrictions?

The Mac Daily reserves the right to pass on any advertisement that we deem inappropriate for our readership. Specifically, we due not allow advertisements for adult services.

Who do I contact for more information or to set up an ad?
